About Me

Andrea is an educator, respected leader, citizen scientist, mentor and advocate-recognized across nonprofit industry and cross-cultural communities as a strong relationship manager. Andrea was first introduced to diving 31 years ago. In the last 8 years, she has achieved PADI IDC Staff instructor status, advocates for underrepresented groups and receives invitations to dive in a variety of projects. She is also a DAN Instructor, Coral Restoration Team Leader, and a diver for the Tuskegee Airmen Project. She is a member of Aquatic Voyagers Scuba Club, board member of Women’s Aquatic Network (co-founder of JEDI committee) and National Association of Black Scuba Divers, Andrea is the current vice president of NABS, serving in her second term. In 2019, she was named NABS Diver of the Year in Cairo. She also leads NABS divers as a member of Aqua Corps.
