I am a recent graduate from the University of Essex, where I studied Tropical Marine Biology. My master's thesis focuses on how nutrient fluctuations caused by anthropogenic impacts affect the coral microbiome of a remote atoll in French Polynesia.
I have participated in the Reef Stars Initiative to restore reefs in Bau-Bau, Indonesia. During my undergraduate degree, I majored in Marine Biology and Ecology/Conservation Biology. My research involved utilizing stable isotopes to study the migration of organisms within Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as investigating how heat affects the symbiotic relationship between mycorrhizal fungi and Carex vulpinoidea, a sedge species common in North America.
I also participated in the Small World Initiative, which aims to discover antimicrobial activity to combat the antibiotic resistance crisis.
I am actively seeking PhD/Job opportunities to continue my work on understanding the coral microbiome, how it responds to environmental stress, and how these changes can inform coral restoration efforts
