I’m a second-year Marine Biology student at Florida International University, based in Miami, Florida. I’m passionate about ocean conservation, marine life, and understanding how climate change affects coastal ecosystems. At FIU, I’ve been involved in research exploring the relationship between water temperature and fish abundance using hands-on methods like seining and trawling.
I’m excited to be part of BWEEMS and connect with other Black women in marine and environmental sciences. Outside of school, I’m active in my church and love volunteering in my community, especially when it comes to youth programs or environmental cleanups. I’m working toward a career where I can help protect and restore marine environments.
