I am a brazilian girl going directly from Rio to Germany to study more about microbes in the Ocean. I did my bachelors in Oceanography and my masters in Marine Microbiology because I thought that studying microbes is a bit phylosophical and you need to have a bit of faith since most of the things you do you can not actually see and that drove my curiosity about it. Recently, I started trying to be more active and learn about approaches that I can do to increase information and hopefully opportunities for girls in STEM. I grew up as the only child of a single black women that had to work a lot to bring me to where I am right now and I feel like a lot of opportunities where given to me and I need to make sure other girls can also dream about being great in whatever they want to do
