I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences (Ecology track) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ; 2013), as well as an MSc (2015) and a “sandwich” PhD (2019) through UFRJ’s Graduate Program in Ecology. During my visiting period (Feb 2018–Dec 2018), I conducted part of my research at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (USA). I have experience in Ecology, with an emphasis on Aquatic Ecology and Ecosystem Ecology. I am an affiliated researcher at the Limnology Laboratory (UFRJ; 2010–present) and at the Rivers and Streams Laboratory (UERJ; 2023–present). I also serve as a collaborating faculty member in the Graduate Program in Ecology (UFRJ) and in the Graduate Program in Territorial Development (UERJ, Teresópolis), and I am currently a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Ecology at UFRJ (2025–present). From 2019 to 2024, I worked as a limnology researcher at the Rogério Valle Center for Sustainable Production (COPPE-UFRJ), coordinating the thematic tracks on Aquatic Macroinvertebrates (2019–2020) and Limnology and Aquatic Metabolism (2021–2024) within the project “Study of Aquatic Biota and Riparian Communities in the Paraopeba River.” I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Graduate Program in Ecology and Evolution (UERJ) and a Young Researcher of Rio de Janeiro State (Jovem Pesquisadora Fluminense), supported by FAPERJ and the Serrapilheira Institute. I also serve on the Editorial Review Board of the international journal Freshwater Science.
