I am a biologist, born in Pará, Brazil, and the daughter and granddaughter of fishermen from the Amazon, which naturally led me to pursue a career in ichthyology. I specialize in Neotropical fish (Characiformes) as well as marine fish (Batrachoidiformes) from both Brazilian and global coasts. I have a deep love for nature and aquatic environments, and studying fish is my greatest passion.
