Disease ecology is my jam! I've been studying gastrointestinal diseases and parasites in the rodent community of the Mojave for the last few years to better understand the threats that an endangered endemic species faces in the wild. In addition to my own work, I dabble in basic identification of small mammals and vectors (mainly ticks and mosquitoes). I recognize that disease between people, animals, and the environment are all intertwined and intend to conduct research that forms those connections.
