I am a wildlife biologist and currently a researcher at the Institute for Research and Conservation of Anteaters of Brazil, a Non-Governmental Organization. With a doctorate (2020) and a master's degree (2015) in Ecology, Conservation and Wildlife Management from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), a bachelor's degree (2012) in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), and an international experience at Colorado State University (CSU), I am a scientist with experience in ecology and landscape and conservation planning. Currently, my research focus is on endangered species of fauna - especially xenarthrans. I am particularly interested in ecological research that has an impact on the design and implementation of public policies for the conservation of species, especially the maned sloth, which has been my focus for the last 13 years. The main lines of work involve Conservation Biology, Mastozoology, Landscape Ecology, Environmental Modeling and Occupancy Modeling.
