Hey sisters, I’m Vivianna Humara 💙
I’m a proud Afro-Latina marine biologist, artist, and educator — rooted in resilience and driven by purpose.
I’ve worked with organizations like the Coral Restoration Foundation, Miami Waterkeeper, and Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS). One of my proudest contributions was leading a project to replace styrofoam floats in coral nurseries with eco-friendly materials — a small change making a big impact for ocean health.
I also create educational tools for schools to help more Black and Brown students see themselves in marine science. Because representation isn’t optional — it’s powerful.
And I dance — because movement is healing, expressive, and a way I reclaim space unapologetically.
I’m here to protect the planet, uplift my people, and show that we can bring our whole selves into this work — proudly and loudly.
